What are cosmetics in Dungeon Quest Reborn?

Cosmetics change how your character or weapon looks — weapon skins and character effects — and nothing else. A skin does not raise damage, defense, or survivability, whatever the thumbnail suggests. This is the same rule as armor appearance: visual items are separate from stat fields, so judge gear by its card, not its look.

Cosmetics are organized in four tiers: Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. The tier decides rarity and crate odds — it does not add stats.

How do you get cosmetics?

Two routes exist, and neither is a dungeon drop:

  • Gem crates — three crates, each bought with a fixed number of gems. Opening rolls a cosmetic of a tier weighted by that crate's odds table below.
  • VIP gamepass set — a small set of VIP-only cosmetics that comes with the VIP gamepass (more below).

Gems are a separate currency from gold. Every crate costs 5,000 to 10,000 gems per open, and cosmetics are the gem sink. Codes are not a source of gems — no verified codes exist, and the codes page covers where gold and gems actually come from.

The three crates

Rare crate5,000 gems70%30%0%0%
Epic crate7,500 gems50%35%15%0%
Legendary crate10,000 gems0%50%35%15%

Two details matter more than the headline prices:

  • Only the Legendary crate can give a Legendary cosmetic, on a 15% roll. The Epic crate tops out at Epic, no matter how many you open.
  • The Legendary crate has no Uncommon outcome — its floor is Rare.

Odds above are community-reported, not published by the developers; confirm against the crate screen before you commit a large gem stack.

Which crate is worth it?

On a gems-per-quality basis, the Legendary crate is the best value, because its floor is Rare and it has no Uncommon outcome — even when you are not chasing Legendaries, you never waste an open on the lowest tier.

If you are chasing a Legendary cosmetic, budget realistically: at a 15% roll per open, one Legendary cosmetic costs about 6.7 crates on average, or roughly 67,000 gems (community estimate). The Epic crate can never produce one, so rerolling it hoping for a Legendary just burns gems.

VIP cosmetics

The VIP gamepass unlocks its own set of VIP cosmetics along with a permanent 20% XP boost. Gamepasses in Reborn are bought with gold, and the price rises every ten levels — so the VIP cosmetics are far cheaper to reach at low level than after the price has climbed. The VIP page covers the reported perks and how to verify each one in the store.

Is there a full cosmetics list?

Not yet. A community-maintained list of every individual cosmetic is still incomplete for Reborn, so this page tracks the acquisition system rather than an item-by-item catalogue — individual items will be added as they are documented.

One separation worth keeping straight: showcase videos that tour a Robux-priced armor cosmetic shop cover the original Dungeon Quest, not Reborn. The earlier game once sold cosmetics directly for Robux; Reborn's current model centers on gem crates. Mark this as needs re-check — if community information updates, this page will be revised.

What are the chances of getting a cosmetic in Dungeon Quest Reborn?

Cosmetics do not drop from dungeons, so the odds depend on which crate you open. The Rare crate rolls 70% Uncommon and 30% Rare; the Epic crate rolls 50% Uncommon, 35% Rare and 15% Epic; the Legendary crate rolls 50% Rare, 35% Epic and 15% Legendary, with no Uncommon outcome at all.

How much do Dungeon Quest Reborn crates cost?

Three crates, all bought with gems: the Rare crate at 5,000 gems, the Epic crate at 7,500, and the Legendary crate at 10,000. Gems are a separate currency from gold. On a gems-per-quality basis the Legendary crate is the best value, because its floor is Rare and it has no Uncommon outcome.

How do you get legendary cosmetics in Dungeon Quest Reborn?

Only the Legendary crate can give one, on a 15% roll — about 6.7 crates on average, or roughly 67,000 gems, per Legendary cosmetic (community estimate). The Epic crate tops out at Epic no matter how many you open.

Where do gems come from? Are codes a source?

Gems are a separate currency from gold, and every crate is bought with them at 5,000–10,000 gems per open. Codes are not a source — there are no verified active codes, and the codes page covers where gold and gems actually come from. Apart from the VIP gamepass set, gems are the only route to cosmetics.
