What the grades mean

S-tier archetypes are the safest all-round picks: Sceptre gives spell builds range and uptime, Sword gives physical builds forgiving combos. A-tier trades something — Bow clears slower for safety, Great Sword needs timing for its burst. B and C are situational: fine early, out-shone once you roll a better stat card.

Because every drop rolls its own stats, two weapons of the same name can rank differently in practice. This tier list tells you which archetype is worth chasing; the item card on the drop tells you whether that specific one is worth keeping.

Beginner weapon picks & upkeep tips

If you are new, start with Sword, Sceptre, or Bow and read every item card before swapping:

  • Never pick by rarity alone — two items with the same name roll different Physical, Spell, Stamina, and Health values.
  • Match the damage stat to your build: physical gear for melee, spell gear for casters.
  • Read the required level on any drop before swapping — an endgame roll you cannot equip yet is a farm target, not a build.
  • Upgrade only items you intend to keep; sell the rest for Gold.
  • Lean into one damage stat. Spreading skill points between Physical and Spell dilutes your burst.

How this tier list is built

Each grade scores how flexible the archetype is across the dungeon ladder: range, boss uptime, burst windows, and forgiveness for new players. Role, not rarity — rarity and stat rolls are read on the item card, never borrowed from classic Dungeon Quest. Grades move as verified stat cards land, so re-check after major updates.

Is there an official Dungeon Quest Reborn tier list?

No. There is no developer-published tier list, and the community warns against copying original-game values. This page ranks archetypes by role versatility as a planning tool only.

Which weapon is the best in Dungeon Quest Reborn?

No single best weapon is established. Every drop rolls its own Physical, Spell, Stamina, and Health numbers, so judge any weapon by its own item card and your build path.

What are the top-tier archetypes?

Sceptre and Sword currently sit at S for role versatility — Sceptre for ranged spell uptime, Sword for forgiving physical combos. B and C bands shift as more item cards get documented.
